More Redbud Tree House Concerts

Post from Cyndi Wagner:

Greetings Fellow House Concert Devotees!!!

Hmmm, if it’s November, then it must be time to welcome another Redbud Tree House Concert favorite, Jason Wilber, Sunday, November 15th at 6PM!!

Jason has two new CDs set to be released on December 8th, Ghost of Summers Past AND Live and Otherwise Volume 2!  I’m pretty sure we’re going to get to hear some new material on the 15th.  I can’t wait!

Most of you know that Jason lives in Bloomington and is John Prine’s ace guitar player, BUT, he is an accomplished musical storyteller in his own right. Jason has gained notoriety playing lead guitar for other notable folk, rock, and country artists Hal Ketchum, Greg Brown, Iris DeMent, Todd Snider, Greg Trooper, and Carrie Newcomer. He collaborates often in the studio and on stage with another fellow Hoosier and house concert favorite Tim Grimm!

Highlights of Jason’s work with John Prine include two Grammy nominated albums: Live On Tour and In Spite of Ourselves (which spent 32 weeks on the Billboard Country Charts) and the 2006 Grammy Award winning album Fair & Square.

Suggested donation: $15
And, in keeping with our Utopian vision for a better musical tomorrow,
100% GOES TO THE ARTIST!!

Also, folks, this is a pitch-in! Feel free to bring a dish or favorite drink, if you’d like.  Bottled water will be provided and you may bring soft drinks, wine, beer, etc.

Please RSVP ASAP. I have 30 seats available! The last two house concerts have filled up in the first few days, so please don’t hesitate to reserve your spot(s) early!

You’ll receive a confirmation letter which includes directions to Cyndi’s, near 86th and Ditch Road on Indy’s northside, when you write back to confirm your attendance for this great evening of music at cyndiwagner8332@gmail.com.

INVITATION:Redbud House Concert, Oct. 11

Time to sign up for our next Redbud Tree House Concert!

Joe Peters and Michael Kelsey are two musicians on opposite ends of the musical spectrum. I, for one, can’t wait to see what kind of musical magic, madness and synergy they will bring to our October 11th house concert!  The two have had a creative collaboration for many years.  As the Joedai Warriors, they put out 2 CDs: Given Birth and Rebirth.  With Joe’s songwriter genius coupled with Michael’s stunning guitar work, this acoustic performance will clearly be a highlight of our house concert season.  Make sure you arrive early on October 11th to get a seat up front!
